Amanda Newsome, Practicum Student
I provide individual counseling for teens and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, and stress. Through our work together, my goal is to assist clients in better coping with life's stressors and improving themselves and their relationships with others.
I focus primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and will aid my clients in gaining a better understanding and acceptance of oneself. Together, we will work towards the completion of goals you set for yourself. Rather than looking to the past, I assist clients in focusing on the future, and becoming the best possible version of themselves.
I understand how hard it can be to take that courageous first step toward bettering oneself, so, as a therapist, my goal with every client is to provide an open, compassionate, and empathetic space without judgment where my clients are free to express themselves.
