Anissa Garcia, Clinical Intern
I have a passion for helping individuals struggling with life transitions, anxiety, depression, and a number of challenges that life might throw your way. Counseling can provide helpful tools to help you problem solve more effectively, set and achieve goals, improve communication skills, and regulate stress levels. Through a person-centered approach I am able to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can discuss your current challenges. I believe, that through collaborative effort, you will gain a clear understanding of your self to live a more fulfilling life.
I work primarily with preteens/teenagers, young adults, and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I am certified in the Gottman method for couples therapy and have experience with sand tray therapy. I am currently working on my masters in clinical mental health counseling from Houston Baptist University.
I work at LG Counseling - where for 10+ years they have provided exceptional client care for a variety of mental health-related services including counseling (ages 3+), immigration-related psychological evaluations, ADHD assessments and more. I am an active listener and supporter while encouraging my clients to live their lives to the fullest.
