Cathy Richards, Clinical Intern

I provide Individual counseling to adolescents and adults. I work along side clients who struggle with grief and loss, suicidal ideation, self-compassion, anxiety, depression and self-worth. I specialize in helping my clients process though life stressors, transitions and traumas. My counseling approach is a combination of Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
It is my priority to provide a compassionate, safe and secure atmosphere to all my clients. I believe meeting clients where they are emotionally and offering personalized guidance and support is imperative to the overall treatment process.
My goal as a Clinical Intern is to foster genuine connections with my clients for the betterment of their well being. As a team, you and I will process through experiences, collaborate on solutions and focus on goals implementation based on your desires. I look forward to working with you soon!
I am a Clinical Intern currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Houston Baptist University. I am under the supervision of Lorrianne Morrow, LPC-S.
