Roper - A Tribute
(April 15, 2006 – November 19, 2018)
Roper was an amazing therapy dog here at LG Counseling. He was our very first, and most loyal employee, and worked here for nine years. Roper was a faithful door greeter and was friendly to all he met.
When visiting with clients, he had a supernatural ability to sense how others felt, especially when they were sad. He would even cry himself sometimes. During therapy, he knew what to do at times with clients even when other therapists weren't always so sure.
Roper set such a remarkable example for us all. He knew the power of unconditional love, loyalty and boundless affection. He will be missed terribly by many, and we are thankful that he was able to help so many clients.
“To call him a dog hardly seems to do him justice, though inasmuch as he had four legs, a tail, and barked, I admit he was, to all outward appearances. But to those who knew him well, he was a perfect gentleman.” – Hermione Gingold
