Amber Yonda
Clinical Intern
Are you noticing your child struggling with big emotions, acting out at school, or shutting down at home? I help children and families navigate emotional and behavioral challenges by creating a safe, supportive space where kids can feel seen, heard, and understood.
I’m currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University, with a background in psychology, special education, and behavioral therapy. My experience as a Registered Behavioral Therapist, special education teacher, and adoptive parent has given me a unique understanding of how children communicate through behavior—especially when they don’t yet have the words.
I specialize in working with children facing ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, trauma, anger, and school-related stress. I also have a passion for supporting families in foster and adoptive care systems.
My approach is relational, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that connection is key to healing. I am currently under the supervision of Lorrianne Morrow, LPC-S. Let’s work together to support your child’s growth—emotionally, behaviorally, and beyond. Access your Patient Portal or Request an Appointment here
